With GEOALERTES you can visually scan where reporting is most concentrated, open source articles in a built-in reader, and quickly save items for later review. The GEOALERTES interface is designed to balance a fast geographic overview with controls that keep the experience uncluttered for travelers, analysts, journalists, or curious readers who want context rather than noise.
The core of the app is an interactive world map that visualizes news signals by country, using color and intensity to indicate recent activity. Tap a country to see grouped alerts and the original source articles, or pinch to zoom and pan the map to focus on regions of interest. A compact built-in reader opens articles without forcing you to leave the app, while a clear source link lets you view the publisher's page when desired.
GEOALERTES aggregates public French and English RSS feeds and organizes stories by country and category, so you can filter by themes such as politics, disasters, health, or travel. Saved items are collected in a Read Later list and a Favorites section lets you follow specific countries for faster access. Filters and lightweight sharing tools help you manage which items appear on the map and in your reading queue.
Controls are intentionally simple: tap to select a country or article, swipe to move between article pages in the reader, and use on-screen toggles to apply category filters or switch languages. A search box locates countries, sources, and keywords. Notification settings allow you to receive alerts when a selected country shows increased reporting activity, and these alerts are adjustable so you control their frequency and sensitivity.
