我的生活日記 is an AR-based interactive app designed to help individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities practice everyday routines in a safe, simulated setting. The app pairs with a companion book, illustrated picture cards and an online platform to recreate realistic situations that overcome time and space limits while providing multisensory prompts and guided sequences.
我的生活日記 presents nine independent-living AR scenarios drawn from a typical day, each focusing on a practical skill. The app works alongside a physical book, picture cards and an electronic platform to create multisensory learning experiences. Picture cards are paired with audio prompts to support object recognition and vocabulary, and step-by-step visual sequences guide learners through routines while scaffolding simple sentence patterns.
Caregivers and therapists can use 我的生活日記 to add structured, practical practice to therapy and home routines, providing immersive rehearsal of real-world tasks in a controlled setting. Content tailored for people with autism and intellectual disabilities supports targeted skill development and can complement learning in therapy and daily life. The combination of visual, auditory and hands-on materials helps reinforce skills across multiple senses.
The app focuses on a specific set of nine life skills and does not cover broader academic areas. Learners will often need caregiver or therapist support to transfer practiced routines from the AR environment into everyday life, and the physical companion materials are part of the full learning experience.
The project was developed by a team of autism counselors, speech-language therapists and occupational therapists who designed the app and accompanying materials to reflect real-life needs and therapeutic best practices.
